Of course not. we provide not only sailboats but also other vessels (catamarans, motor yachts, polyester dinghies, phishing vessels, caiques, etc.). Tuition of basic sailing skills is included in all cruises and the crew is always keen on assisting those who want to expand their knowledge. On the other hand, those who just want to enjoy their holidays, the sun and the sea, are just as welcome.
The Evoikos Gulf is one of the calmest Greek seas and this is one of the reasons it is considered a top sailing destination. Our skippers plan itineraries to the to the most secure and calm waters. Moreover, the probability of nausea is even lower in sailing boats because sails offer greater stability.
Therefore, the chances of sea sickness are very limited, but if it happens, we will adjust our itinerary even further. The use of medication can help those prone to motion sickness but it is not necessary, especially if it makes you drowsy.
You will need beach clothing and equipment. Also bring two coats, a lightweight (windproof) and a heavier one for the cooler evenings. Do not forget your hat, sunglasses and a high SPF sunscreen. We can also supply all necessary items upon request.
Before setting sail, our experienced skippers check forecasts for sailing areas to confirm weather conditions. Only heavy rain will make it necessary to postpone departure as you won’t be able to enjoy the advantages of a sailing holiday. If this happens, we will reschedule the cruise as soon as possible.
If the weather changes unexpectedly while at sea, skippers will adjust the cruise program so that you can enjoy a smooth and safe sail. Only unsafe weather conditions will necessitate significant changes to the itinerary as your safety is our first priority.
